This work begins by presenting a brief history of the origin of the Ejagham people. It then goes on to record in some detail the different cultural forms that make up the cultural, religious, history, and spirituality of the Ejagham Oban. The book treats cultural practices around birth, marriage, initiation, death, etc. It also looks at cultural arts, such as legends, fables, proverbs, dances, and masquerades. The book highlights the relevance, deep meanings, and lessons of some of these cultural forms such as Nkan, proverbs, and the Akachak festival for today.
