Sam Mattix Sr. was seemingly born with an urge and fervor to write.
As he grew into a young man in Kountze, Texas, there was always a reason to put pen to paper, causing the things he saw and experienced to come alive in the form of poetry.
As Sam continued to write, he finally realized that he
should produce a book.
His big beautiful smile would certainly be alight today, as people in all corners of the world are able to explore and feel what he felt.
