Description
The book deals with the advantages and disadvantages of two types of socio-economic systems: free-market economies and economies with substantial intervention by the state in the economy. Particular countries are discussed in some detail: USA, the ex-Soviet Union, China, former Yugoslavia, Vietnam and Cuba.
The book describes desirable features that an optimum society should have and reflects on the possibility of realizing such a society in the future.
