For Peri Delant, life’s pretty damn great with hunky hubby Vanik, and five wonderful kids. Learning to control her magic was a trial, especially with those who aren’t happy about a mere human having so much power – though they’re happy enough when they need her to kill something. (Hypocrites much?)
The Powers of Light recruit her and Reon to fight against the Rising Evil. It’s hard work, but not so bad. The hardest thing is telling her husband the dragon she rode out on is now riding her, but thanks to some chats with The Deep (aka-The Father of the Gods), Vanik gives them his blessing – understanding she doesn’t love him any less for loving Reon. His brother, Axon, however- goes mega-arsehole about it. Oh and yeah….the Gods forgot to mention they don’t do anything without a price – but that won’t deter her from enduring whatever to save the people she loves.
