Ask yourself; do I really know what the covenant in Christ is?
We hear it mentioned every time we have communion:
“This cup is the new covenant in My blood” (1 Corinthians 11:25)
Look at what Paul has to say about it:
“Such confidence we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God, who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.” (2 Corinthians 3:4-6)
Does this not sound fantastic?! A new covenant based on the Holy Spirit and not on the letter of the Law! so then I have to ask you, is this your first-time hearing this? What does this mean? Why have you not heard this before?
